BGI Schutzhund CLub
We are a group that is interested in training our dogs to work at the highest levels of Tracking, Obedience and Protection.
We are serious dog lovers and DO NOT train attack dogs or dogs to be aggressive.
Our group meets once to twice a week for fun loving training sessions to improve our training ability and advance our dogs to higher levels.
Our goal is for a Barbados team to complete at the World Championships in German someday (hopefully soon).
We train our dogs to be good obedient pets and by doing such our dogs become a part of the family and not just an outsider. If you are part of a family would you not want to protect them from danger?

What is Schutzhund?
The translation of the German word "Schutzhund" is "protection dog" or "guardian dog", but that's really quite misleading. Schutzhund is a sport that is used to test and produce good (solid) dogs.
Schutzhund originated in Germany as a breeding suitability test for the German Shepherd Dog and was quickly adopted for use by other working breeds. (Rottweiler, Doberman, Malinois and more), this provided breeders with a method to evaluate temperament, willingness to work and mental and physical soundness.
Today, German Shepherd dogs are not bred without acquiring schutzhund titles, a breed survey and conformation ratings.
