Traits of Schutzhund Dogs
The sport tests dogs of all breeds for the traits necessary for work. Dogs that pass Schutzhund tests should be suitable for a wide variety of tasks like police work, odor detection, search and rescue, and many others.
These dogs are not usually sold as most people put so much training and love into the dog it becomes a part of their families. The puppies from the parents that do well in trials and show good traits are usually sold (mostly to working homes and police type service industries).
